- Objective
- Advancement of education in paediatric surgical oncology.
- Composition
- The committee shall comprise of 7 members.
- The Chair of the committee shall be appointed by the President of IPSO and shall not be an elected member of the Executive Council.
- A member of the Executive Council shall be appointed as a member of the Education Committee.
- The IPSO’s representatives to the WHO Global Childhood Cancer Initiative shall be members of the Education Committee.
- Responsibilities
- Develop non-traditional platforms to share knowledge, such as webinars or online conferences, and education material made available on the IPSO’s official website.
- Traditional platforms, defined as regular conferences such as IPSO-SIOP, IPSO-APSA, IPSO-WOFAPS, shall be under the management of the Program Committee instead. Nevertheless, close collaboration with the Program Committee is encouraged.
- Innovate and develop other platforms for communication and sharing of surgical knowledge and skills.
- Support the IPSO’s representatives to the WHO Global Childhood Cancer Initiative in developing the program to advance surgical education for LMIC (low- and middle-income countries).
- Meetings
- The Education Subcommittee shall meet as often as required.
