IPSO Guidelines

IPSO Practice Guidelines

Paediatric surgical oncology is evolving rapidly leading to improvement in clinical outcome. It is International Society of Paediatric Surgical Oncology (IPSO)’s mission that we ensure each child and young adult with cancer has access to state of the art surgical management, and to encourage global dissemination of best practice.

The Executive Council has tasked the Education Committee to develop the IPSO Practice Guidelines. This is a consolidation of surgical practices in paediatric surgical oncology based on published scientific evidence. Many of the surgical questions have been presented and discussed at our annual IPSO congresses. We hope this will serve as a concise summary of practice guidelines. When required information is unavailable, we encourage readers to communicate with the Education Committee.

This document is a set of practice guidelines developed for surgeons. Any attempt to interpret it by non-surgeons is discouraged. IPSO does not endorse or recommend any commercial products, processes, or services, that may be mentioned in this document.
